Here at Larz Haus Schnauzers, you will find a breeder of AKC Miniature Schnauzers with over 30 years of experience.  My main focus has always been to breed for health and personality.  Everything I do is to move my line toward that focus. 

My adult dogs are all in home dogs.  This means they live inside with their family as a beloved pet first.  Our dogs are loved on and played with daily.

We only breed Miniature Schnauzers.  Our focus is on the breed we love.  I do genetic screening on all my adult dogs to check for any genetic diseases to help assure their health.  All my adult dogs are up to date with vaccinations and wellness visits.     

Our puppies are started on a wormer program starting at two weeks of age.  They have their dew claws removed by the vet before a week of age.  Puppies have their final health check by my vet at 6 weeks of age and will receive their first shots at that time.  

The puppies go to their new home with a welcome home gift, a bag of kibble and a signed health guarantee.  All puppies will receive their limited AKC registration papers upon proof of their Spay/Neuter procedure being completed.  

I like to meet with the entire family when the puppy goes home.  I like to review training responsibilities, feeding needs and grooming needs with the whole family.  The puppy will become a part of the whole family, so I feel it is important to include the entire clan in the education I provide.

I am located about 65 miles from Downtown Chicago in Northwest Indiana.   I DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES.  Make sure if you fill out a puppy application, that you are prepared to travel to my location.

Health Guarantee

I offer an eight year genetic health guarantee.  I also have a 12 week general health guarantee after the puppy goes home.   I will review the detailed signed guarantee when you come to pick up your puppy and you will go home with a copy in hand.

 

 

In order for the guarantee to be valid:

 

  • You must keep all vaccinations on track and keep up with all veterinary visits.  
  • You must take your puppy/dog for yearly veterinary wellness visits.  
  • You must feed your puppy/dog a quality dog food
  • You must give your veterinarian permission to discuss the problem with me in detail.

Price and Hold Deposits

All my puppies are $2000.  I charge the same for a male or female pup because I put the same time, money and effort into raising them.  Once you are accepted to get one of my puppies, I will call you and talk with you via a phone call from the number you supply on the puppy application.  

I will then tell you how to make your nonrefundable hold deposit of $400 USD.  This deposit is nonrefundable because I do keep a waiting list for puppies.  Once you get on my list, you will have priority in the order that I took in your hold deposit.  This shows me you are serious about getting a puppy from me and I will not make another hopeful home wait unnecessarily because someone held a spot and changed their mind.  

The remainder of the balance ($1600 USD) will be due when you pick up your puppy.  My puppies go home at 10 weeks of age.
